Hi All,
As we say hello to Christmas and bye-bye to the year I must say it has been an amazing adventure. David and I both began our true life paths this year. Though we are a little impatient with the process, it has been evolving at top speed. Now that we have a clearer vision of how our life is going to look, David and I have been thinking of how we can streamline our mission and passions before the new year comes in. We believe this is critical in order for us to be able to help others and live a fuller life. We have so many ideas for our life path that we are frustrated by anything other than dedicating ourselves to "the mission" full time.
I had to say "no thank you" to an offer to become a program leader for a health business in January of 2008. I was very excited about helping others with a healthier way of living including the owner that wanted to lose several pounds. Part of the program was also to take my group out for walks with possible one on one coaching. Sounds great right? I thought so as well until my core beliefs of how I would like to help others with their health and lifestyle did not match up with the owner of the health business. I realized that I must follow my own path of healing others. I am a sensitive soul that feels out the individual situation of my clients to get results. So with that being said, I cannot follow someone else's guide (without adjustments and customizing) to help my clients.
My gift in this lesson is to make sure that you are on the path that you choose for yourself. Your spirit will let you know if you are guided by your beliefs or those of someone else. Listening to your spirit is the true way to being happy. Take time to dream before the new year comes in. Start it with things that make your spirit dance.
So for the next few days, David and I will be in a mode of meditation around how we would like to start our new year. Look to for a little update before 2008!
Happy Holidays To You!!
Big Hugs,
Mika

What A Holiday Season
Well I must say this is my busiest holiday season in a long time. Forget thinking of presents and trees. Those thoughts have only gone through my mind a couple of times. There are many changes that are coming for David and I with the end of the year. We have a few great concepts for the next few Zesty Life shows, I may start leading health walks in Monterey starting January and lots of film concepts and connections are emerging for us.
Although all of this has been fun and exciting, what I am enjoying the most is making connections with people that want to see and take part in bringing more positive changes to this world. Last week we met up with a good friend of mine Jayson Fann and his sweetie Heather Cohen and had a very fruitful talk around community projects. We also met a great guy at the Bioneers conference that came down to visit us this past weekend. He is offering us his services in finding grants for our causes and want to help out in anyway he can. People of action!! We are loving our connections.
Stay tuned!!
Hugs!

Exciting New Projects In Time For the Holidays!!
Hi Guys!!
I am having the time of my life revising www.mikaslife.com and gearing up for 2008. There are many new changes that will be coming with the new year. Forget resolutions, you can make changes to your life at anytime you want. Just make up your mind and do it.
You may want to know how I am doing with my livings foods. Great actually but I have had a couple of cooked meals. My excuse? Hey it's the holidays. No seriously, I have decided not to be as hard on myself and enjoy the process. My diet still remains over 90% raw and my cravings are not a major issue. What do I do to control cravings?
*concerntrate on all the living foods I can eat
*drink lots of water & herbal teas
*take living foods with me where ever I go
*not allow myself to get too hungry
Yes, it's not as easy as it sounds but worth the effort. Just maintaining 70% raw has major benefits. Need a coach to help you through? Contact me at www.mikaslife.com or at mika@mikaslife.com
WHAT'S NEW?
I have started my new teleclass "The Last 5lbs" . This teleclass is for anyone wanting to know how to get those last few pounds off and keep it off easily and effortlessly. You may also need help taking off that 7lbs many gain around the holidays. Well this telecourse, soon to be in audio version is the fun and permanent way to do this. For the December 14th class, I have 20 spaces left and 5 of those are free spaces. This is a first come first serve event. The introductory price is $49. Once this teleclass becomes audio, the price will increase. At this time if you register for the December class you will receive the audio version as well when completed. That means you will have the information to listen to over and over. This is a great information for anyone at any health level. Even if you do not need to lose weight.
It's a beautiful day in Monterey and I look forward to getting out and enjoying it. I am off to make a big salad, get dressed and head to Carmel. I look forward to updating you next week.
Have a great Turkey Day!
Much Love,
Mika

8 Days In & Feeling Great!!
Hey Life Lovers!!
I am excited to say I am on my 8th day of maintaining a 99% Living Food Program. The one percent I give for a couple of scoops of hummus and soybean spread. I must say in the 4-5 attempts I have made to maintain this lifestyle, this is the easiest time I have a had so far. I have a total different mentality now around my nutritional program. As promised, here is a list of the things I have experienced since maintaining a 99% Living Food Program.
Fun Things:
* clearer thinking
*clearer skin
*did I mention clearer skin?
*less aches in my body
*the need to workout & keep my body moving
*lots of ideas for current or new projects
*less desire to eat cooked foods
Some of the Not So Fun Things:
A detox headache
not being able to find ripe yummy fruits
Yes, my not so fun things are very limited and I am sure within the month, the headaches will be a vague memory. The ripe fruit thing will probably still need some work. More news to come next week on this subject. Anyone ready to change your nutritional program to more living foods at any level, contact me @ mika@mikaslife.com or 831-236-0204.
New Project!!
I have been inspired today to not only start a new project but to do it in book, audio and DVD format. The Living Food Program series is on it's way!! I have started working on it already and committed to completing it as soon as possible. More on the details later but I feel it will be a much needed resource for anyone taking major steps in improving their nutritional program and outlook on life. I am not sure but audio and book may be before the DVD. Let me know what format works for you. I like them all.
Another new project is in the works. My partner David and I are doing a documentary around the issues we have here on the Monterey Peninsula (and Santa Cruz) around the aerial spraying. Another necessary public service indeed. Feel free to send us your thoughts or ideas.
Tomorrow marks a major day for me. My last name will officially be Leone' as of tomorrow. With my name change and change in my health, I truly feel as if I am beginning a new life.
Blessing To You All,
Mika

Friday In Monterey
Hi All,
October is coming to an end in the next week and I must say it has been exciting. The weather here in Monterey is beautiful with a touch of fall. I love this time of year. It's time to break out the sweaters, scarves and hats. Getting cozy with the kitty always has more of an appeal around this time of the year. This will be my first Hallow's Eve with my beloved. We are heading to one of my dearest friend's place for some wicked fun!!
The film festival meeting went great on Wednesday. The energy was high!! Everyone there was seeing the vision of what's to come. Big, beautiful things are in the works and I will be sharing more later.
I am off to take out the laundry. Yes, the feeling of being a planet hero has to come to a halt for mere mortal duties.
Big Warm Fall Hugs,
Mika

Hey From Monterey
Hi Life Lovers!!
Welcome to the first post of Zesty Living. This is where it is all about living to the fullest and loving it. Easy? Not always but definitely rewarding in the end. David and I will keep you up to date on our journey through our life doing truly what we feel we are on this planet to do-help others to live a healthy happy full life.
Tonight we have a another film festival meeting. Things are moving along. We have about 15 weeks before our Punky Lil Kid Film Festival. We are making great connections and the buzz is in the air. I have to get ready but will fill you in later on the details of the night.
